Sheehey promotes Jamie Martell to chief operating officer

The Burlington law firm Sheehey Furlong & Behm has promoted Director of Administration Jamie Martell to chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.

In her new role, Martell will be responsible for developing and executing the firm’s long-term vision, mission and strategic goals and managing all nonlegal aspects of day-to-day firm operations. She holds a bachelor's degree from Bay Path University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Sandy Croft elevated to chief lending officer at VEDA

Sandy Croft has been promoted from director of credit to chief lending officer at the Vermont Economic Development Authority, the state's quasi-public economic development finance agency.

A graduate of the University of Vermont, Croft got her start in commercial banking at Chittenbank Bank, where she served as vice president of commercial lending. In December 2008, she joined VEDA as a commercial loan officer.

Mayor taps Lynn Reagan to lead Burlington's human resources team

Burlington Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak has appointed Lynn Reagan to serve as the city's next director of human resources, pending confirmation of the City Council. Reagan has previously served as manager, assistant director and, since July, as interim director of the department.

“Lynn has been a steady and capable leader in this city for many years, and she consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership, sound judgment and a commitment to the well-being of city employees," Mulvaney-Stanak said.
