Registered nurse Jessica Eynon (pictured) and administrative assistant Patty Andrews were recently recognized as clinical and nonclinical Employees of the Quarter, respectively, by VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region, one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services. Employees of the Quarter are selected from nominations submitted by peers and acknowledge employees who go above and beyond their typical job duties.

Sara Blondin, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Barre, recently obtained the Certified Financial Planner certification, which is generally considered the gold standard in the financial planning industry.

Blondin successfully completed the rigorous requirements that include coursework and a series of examinations covering financial planning; risk management; investments; tax planning and management; retirement and employee benefits; and estate planning.

Vermont author and veteran teacher Rachel Carter has joined Onion River Press, an independent publishing company based in Burlington, as program director.

Carter's hiring comes on the heels of Onion River announcing it will soon begin offering a broad array of in-person classes for writers of all levels on topics ranging from fiction to poetry to creative nonfiction.
