PEAK RESORTS CLOSES ON PURCHASE OF MOUNT SNOW AND ATTITASH RESORTS

ST. LOUIS, MO- (April 5, 2007) - Peak Resorts announced today the completion of the purchase of Mount Snow and Attitash resorts from American Skiing Company. The sale agreement, originally announced on February 16, includes all properties and assets of Mount Snow and Attitash resorts, for a purchase price of $73.5 million. In addition, Peak Resorts assumed approximately $2 million in debt and other liabilities related to the resorts.

Woodbury College Announces New Trustees and New Additions to Administration
Montpelier, Vt. - Woodbury College President Larry Mandell announced today several important changes at the college. Merriam, formerly of Northern Power Systems will be responsible for the operations of this Vermont-based solar energy integrator.
A 15-year veteran of Northern Power Systems (a subsidiary of Distributed Energy Systems), Mr. Merriam most recently held the position of Vice President of Project Management for Distributed Energy out of the Vermont based operation.
During his tenure at Northern, Merriam spearheaded the expansion of the company into its new 110,000 SQFT facility and was responsible for fulfillment of all of Northern's remote power, grid connected, and combined heat and power systems.
"We are pleased that Jim has joined us. His experience and operational expertise round out our management team here at groSolar," says Jeff Wolfe, CEO.
Jim received his BS in Electrical Engineering and computer design from the University of Vermont in 1987 and is completing his MBA with Drexel University.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont Supports Vermont Lactation Consultants Association
Berlin, VT - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) announced today that it will award several scholarships to a conference this month so that medical professionals may learn more about breastfeeding from nationally known experts.
The state's largest health insurer provides scholarships each year for nurses, doctors, and other professionals to attend an annual conference sponsored by the Vermont Lactation Consultants Association (VLCA).
This year's conference takes place April 12 and 13 at the Windham Hotel in Burlington. The conference is an opportunity for professionals who provide support and assistance to breastfeeding mothers.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont recognizes the many benefits of breastfeeding to our members by offering these scholarships.

Girls on the Run is an experiential program for girls in grades three through eight that combines lessons on physical, mental, and emotional development with a community service project and training for the 5K run/walk.
The 5K is the culmination of the program, and a celebration of each participant. The 5K is a non-competitive, family-friendly event where everyone is a winner!
In 2005, over 1200 enthusiastic girls, families and community members participated to celebrate their health!
The 2007 Girls on the Run 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday, June 10, 10:00 a.m. at the UVM Cross Country Course in Burlington, Vermont.

The decision is the final regulatory approval necessary for the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2007.

PSB approves acquisition of GMP by Gaz Metro subsidiary
The Vermont Public Service Board (PSB) Monday issued its approval of Green Mountain Power Corporation's (NYSE: GMP) proposed agreement and plan of merger with Northern New England Energy Corporation (NNEEC) and its wholly-owned subsidiary Northstars Merger Subsidiary Corporation. The decision is the final regulatory approval necessary for the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2007.

In its unanimous approval order, the PSB said it concluded the transaction "will promote the general good of the State." It also stated that "NNEEC also has a proven record of technical, financial and managerial competency through its twenty-year ownership of Vermont Gas Systems, Inc. & NNEEC and its parent, Gaz Métro, have a well-documented and an established track record for operating regulated and unregulated businesses in Vermont."
