Goddard College has announced the addition of five new members of the board: Lucinda Garthwaite, Caleb Pitkin, Richard Schramm, Goddard student Kelly Bowen, and faculty member Nicola Morris.

The ribbon is cut at the Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony at Vermont Truffle Company which is now located at 37 Center St in Downtown Rutland. Vermont Truffle Company has purchased the building and will be manufacturing out of this downtown Rutland location, as well selling their products on site.

VSA Vermont has announced that at the 2014 VSA Affiliate Council Meeting in Washington, D.C., on July 22nd, VSA Vermont was recognized with two awards. Program Director Peggy Rainville received the VSA Affiliate Council 2014 Award for Dedication to Service, honoring her for 14 years of passionate work with VSA Vermont.

Joshua Boucher has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Joshua graduated from Castleton State College with a Master’s degree in Accounting and is a member of the Vermont Society of CPAs. Joshua spent six years in the Vermont National Guard and joins the firm with tax and accounting experience in the medical insurance industry.

GeoDesign, Inc. announced promotions of two in its Windsor office and its new and expanded location in South Burlington. Jason Gaudette, PG, LEED AP, has been named Senior Associate. He joined the firm in 1999, was named a Partner and Associate in 2009, and serves as the Operations Manager for the Windsor, VT office.

Vermont Tech President Dan Smith announced the appointment of Littleton “Lit” Tyler as dean of administration. Tyler has worked at Vermont Tech since 2008 and most recently served as a research analyst and director of institutional research, a position he’s held for the past two years.

The Rutland Regional Planning Commission (RRPC) and the Rutland Farm and Food Link (RAFFL) have been selected to host AmeriCorps VISTA positions. For the next year, Monika Ganguly-Kiefner, a recent graduate of Green Mountain College in Poultney, will be working for RRPC and Jenn Simons, who graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012, will join the RAFFL staff.

Secretary of State Jim Condos was elected by his peers to serve on the Executive Board for the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) as Secretary. Secretary Condos served as the Eastern Region Vice-President from 2013-2014.
