Delores Barbeau, MD, MPH, was named Physician of the Year by the Vermont Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians. This distinguished award, presented by co-worker Barbara Dalton, MD, recognizes Dr. Barbeau’s long-standing reputation as “an outstanding physician and humanitarian,” acknowledged by fellow practitioners and staff at the Springfield Health Center.

The Vermont Lake Monsters have announced that Joe Doud has been promoted to General Manager, becoming the sixth GM in the New York-Penn League team's 22-year history. Doud, who has served as the team’s Assistant General Manager for the past four seasons, will focus on the organization’s day-to-day operations.

The non-profit, FOCUS ON FILM, announces its hire of a new executive director for the Green Mountain Film Festival. The non-profit hired Rachelle Murphy, a Berlin resident and recent masters of art graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design. Murphy coordinated the 2014 festival in Montpelier.

Marie Thresher, Chief Risk Officer for Merchants Bank, announces Jonathan Watson has been hired for the position of Audit Director. Watson has over ten years of banking experience, including operations, retail and trust. He is a University of Vermont graduate and has earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) designations.

The Essex, Vermont’s Culinary Resort and Spa, has announced the appointment of Nazba Jenulevich as general manager. In this new capacity, Jenulevich is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and vision, as well as overseeing operational and asset management. He joined The Essex in June 2013 as the director of resort operations.
