The Essex, Vermont’s Culinary Resort and Spa, has announced the appointment of Nazba Jenulevich as general manager. In this new capacity, Jenulevich is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and vision, as well as overseeing operational and asset management. He joined The Essex in June 2013 as the director of resort operations.
Jenulevich brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience, including leadership roles at Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield, New Hampshire, and Grey Fox Inn in Stowe, Vermont. In addition, Jenulevich owned and operated the Salt Ash Inn in Plymouth, Vermont.
“Naz’s comprehensive expertise in operations, coupled with his unwavering commitment to delivering rich guest experiences, will be instrumental in guiding the resort’s continued success,” explains Jan McCormick, vice president of operations, Gemstone Hotels & Resorts. “We are thrilled to have him serve in this role and look forward to a successful 2015.”
Located just outside of Burlington, The Essex offers guests a full-service destination resort experience. Best known for its foodie-obsessed programming, the resort offers culinary enthusiasts a variety of classes in the on-site teaching kitchens of Cook Academy, ongoing tastings in its lobby, team-building culinary activities like scavenger hunts and “Iron Chef” type competitions, and special events.

Jenulevich resides in Peacham, Vermont, with his wife, Karla, and their three children Tara, Vincent, and Shane. In his spare time, Jenulevich enjoys exploring local eateries, biking and kayaking.
