Effective November 23rd, Andrew Knapp has been appointed to the position of VP of Sales, replacing Chris Recchia. The company has eliminated the role of National Residential Showroom Sales Manager, formerly held by Bruce Hathaway, due to the increased scope of the new V.P. of Sales.

The Vermont Medical Society’s Education and Research Foundation (VMSERF) has awarded a $10,000 scholarship to the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine student Adessa Morano. Morano was honored at the Vermont Medical Society’s 207th Annual Meeting held virtually on November 7th, 2020.

Simha Ravven, MD was named president of the Vermont Medical Society (VMS) during its 207th annual meeting November 7th. Dr. Ravven is the Chief Medical Officer of the Howard Center in Burlington, VT and Assistant Clinical Professor in Law and Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine.

Ronald J Cioffi, RN, and CEO of the VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR), one of the state’s largest providers of skilled home health and hospice services, announced plans to retire in June of 2021.

Vermont Senate Republicans will have a new leader in January. Sen. Randy Brock (R/D-Franklin) will be taking the reigns when new members are sworn in on January 6, according to current Minority Leader Sen. Joe Benning (R-Caledonia). Sen. Brian Collamore (R-Rutland) will continue to serve as Assistant Minority Leader.

Jericho residents Gail and Tim McKenna recently made a generous contribution of $5,555 to Howard Center from their CATCH 22 Flag Football fundraiser. 2020 marks the sixth year the McKenna’s have made a donation in an amount that signifies important dates in their lives.
