Earlier this month, the law firm of Primmer Piper Eggleston and Cramer (PPEC) welcomed attorney Eli Leino to join their real estate, land use, and corporate teams. Eli brings significant legal experience supporting landowners and developers navigating a wide range of land use and real estate issues in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The VEIC Board of Directors has appointed Rebecca Foster to serve as VEIC’s new Chief Executive Officer. Foster was named interim CEO in July 2020 and has been a steadfast leader through the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic over the past nine months.

Governor Phil Scott announced that he has appointed James Pepper of Montpelier, Julie Hulburd of Colchester and Kyle Harris of Montpelier to the Cannabis Control Board (CCB). “The Board will play a critical role in ensuring public safety, equity and fairness while implementing this new market,” said Governor Phil Scott.

Community College of Vermont (CCV) student Tina Tripodina has been named a 2021 New Century Transfer Scholar and will receive a $2,250 scholarship. Tripodina will graduate this spring from CCV-Newport with an associate degree in STEM studies and a certificate in allied health preparation.

The Board of the Vermont State Housing Authority (VSHA) announced today the appointment of Kathleen R. Berk for the position of Executive Director. Berk will assume her new role on June 1st. Richard M. Williams who joined the Housing Authority in July 1974 and has led the agency as Executive Director since 1984, will retire at the end of July.

Because VEC is a cooperative, members elect local representatives to serve on VEC’s twelve-member board.
