The VEIC Board of Directors has appointed Rebecca Foster to serve as VEIC’s new Chief Executive Officer. Foster was named interim CEO in July 2020 and has been a steadfast leader through the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic over the past nine months. With more than two decades of experience in the clean energy industry, and 10 years at VEIC, she is a proven and trusted leader, dedicated to the organization’s success.
“On behalf of the Board, I am honored to announce Rebecca’s appointment. During our rigorous search process, Rebecca demonstrated that she has the vision; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; industry knowledge; and business acumen that VEIC needs. She is a bold, collaborative leader, and she is well suited to address the climate and equity crises,” said Nick Richardson, Chair of the VEIC Board of Directors.
VEIC operates a full-service consultancy working in energy efficiency, transportation electrification, clean and flexible grid strategies, and building decarbonization. "I am grateful and excited to take on the CEO role at VEIC. As innovators in designing and delivering clean energy programs and services, our work is needed now more than ever to make our energy system more equitable and sustainable,” said Foster. “We are charting the course for VEIC to become the leader in decarbonization programs and services in the US, while providing unparalleled value to our clients and ensuring clean energy is accessible to all. I envision a bright future for VEIC, and I can’t wait to turn my undivided attention to this important work.”
