Monica Allard has joined the northern New England law firm Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC and has begun work in the firm’s Litigation Group in Burlington, Vermont. Monica comes to DRM after having practiced in the financial services section of a large international law firm in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mayor Miro Weinberger announced Daniel Richardson as Burlington’s next City Attorney. Richardson brings nearly two decades of legal experience to the City, most recently as Partner at Tarrant Gillies, Richardson & Shems and as an Adjunct Professor at Vermont Law School where he created the school’s first municipal law course.

The Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Director Matthew Harrington will host Southwestern Vermont Medical Center’s (SVMC) Chief Medical Officer Trey Dobson, MD, for a live program, Shires Health, at noon Thursday, August 5 on Facebook Live and on CAT-TV’s public access channel 1075. The program is produced in cooperation with Catamount Access Television.

Southwestern Vermont Health Care’s (SVHC) Medical Matters Weekly with Dr. Trey Dobson—a weekly interactive, multiplatform medical-themed talk show—will feature Art Groux, the executive director of the Bennington Rescue Squad on its August 11 program. The show will air at 12 p.m. Groux will discuss local and national trends within Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
