Sandra Cameron of Barre, an accomplished organizational leader with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit organizations, has been named executive director of Dragonheart Vermont, a Burlington-based organization that strives to strengthen and empower breast cancer survivors and supporters through the sport of dragon boating, a team paddle sport.

Speaker of the House Jill Krowinski has appointed Brenda Churchill, a Bakersfield select board member and unsuccessful candidate for state representative in 2022, to the Vermont Commission on Women. Churchill will become the first transgender woman on the independent, nonpartisan state commission.

Treasurer-elect Mike Pieciak has selected Gavin Boyles of Montpelier to serve as deputy state treasurer when Pieciak takes office in January. Dan Bergeron, manager of snow sports operations at Killington Ski Resort, has been named recipient of the Einar Aas Award from the Eastern Division of the Professional Ski Instructors of America for 2022. The award recognizes dynamic leadership within a snow sports school while achieving and maintaining the highest standards.
