Treasurer-elect Mike Pieciak has selected Gavin Boyles of Montpelier to serve as deputy state treasurer when Pieciak takes office in January. Boyles most recently worked as general counsel at the Department of Financial Regulation overseeing all legal functions at the department and a team of nine legal professionals.
“I have known Gavin to be not only a dedicated public servant, but also an indispensable teammate as we worked on critical and fast-paced issues in our time together at the Department of Financial Regulation,” Pieciak said. “I am thrilled that he will be bringing his skillset to the state treasurer’s office.”
“It is such an honor to move into this new role serving Vermonters," Boyles said. “Treasurer (Beth) Pearce and her team have done so much to benefit Vermonters’ financial health, and I am thrilled to have the chance to build on that foundation with Mike.”
Boyles has 14 years of government service in Vermont, including time as an assistant attorney general and as law clerk for Chief Justice Paul Reiber at the Vermont Supreme Court.
