Killington's Dan Bergeron receives award for snow sports leadership

Dan Bergeron, manager of snow sports operations at Killington Ski Resort, has been named recipient of the Einar Aas Award from the Eastern Division of the Professional Ski Instructors of America for 2022. The award recognizes dynamic leadership within a snow sports school while achieving and maintaining the highest standards. Recipients are nominated by members and selected by their peers.

“Dan’s greatest success in the industry has been with the people he has cultivated into snow sports leadership roles,” said Killington Snow Sports Director Dave Beckwith. “When you look at the roster of people who have worked for Dan over the years, it is the who's who of snow sports management. We are proud to see Dan recognized for his hard work, commitment and dedication to snow sports management and instruction here in the East.”

Bergeron has spent 37 years in the snow sports industry, serving as ski school director at both Okemo and Mount Ascutney before joining Killington 11 years ago as operations manager. As a divisional clinic leader and development team member for the Eastern Division of PSIA, Bergeron has educated and evaluated ski instructors throughout the East Coast.

“This award is for all of the PSIA Eastern Region, which has over 11,000 members,” said Bergeron. “To get this award is almost like the pinnacle of your career in snow sports management. With all the years I've spent in management, it's quite an honor and quite an achievement to be recognized that way.”
