Mike Solimano, president and general manager of Killington and Pico Ski Resort Partners, has been named a recipient of a 2023 Sammy Leadership Award by the trade publication Ski Area Management. Solimano won in the category of “builder of teams.”

Krystal Martin, a student at the Community College of Vermont, Brattleboro, has been named a 2023 New Century Workforce Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship. Martin works full-time in finance for C&S Wholesale Grocers and is pursuing an associate degree in accounting.

Sarah Ali of Burlington, a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, has been named the Vermont Boys and Girls Club’s Youth of the Year for 2023. She will receive a $2,500 college scholarship and represent Vermont at the Northeast Youth of the Year competition in New York City later this spring.

Brattleboro Savings & Loan announced the promotions of Michele Hackett, to vice president and culture officer, and Michael Levock, to assistant vice president and network engineering officer.

Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas has tapped Kevin Rushing for director of the state Office of Professional Regulation, which provides public protection by regulating 51 professions with approximately 85,000 licensees. He succeeds Lauren Hibbert, who now serves as deputy secretary of state.

Matthew Senter, former senior vice president of commercial lending for the Middlebury branch of Yankee Farm Credit, has joined Agri-Access, a leading provider of secondary market financing for agriculture, forest products and rural real estate across the nation, as vice president of lender relations for the Vermont and New England market.

Jennifer R LaChance, former physician assistant at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA, has joined Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Orthopedics and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Putnam Physicians. LaChance will practice out of SVMC’s Williamstown, MA, location, Northern Berkshire Orthopedics.

Mohamed Basha, founder and CEO of TLC Nursing in Burlington, and Jeff Chu, co-founder and managing partner of Features Capital in Norwich, have joined the board of directors at Mascoma Bank.

Rutland Regional Medical Center, the largest community hospital in Vermont, has recognized four health care employees as 2022 Providers of the Year. The winners were selected for their contributions to the Greater Rutland community, staff and patients.
