Mascoma Bank welcomes Basha, Chu to board of directors

Mohamed Basha, founder and CEO of TLC Nursing in Burlington, and Jeff Chu, co-founder and managing partner of Features Capital in Norwich, have joined the board of directors at Mascoma Bank.

In addition, the following directors have been reelected: Michael Cahoon, owner of Snyder, Cahoon & Company; Frank Leibly, partner at Alcon Partners; Merritt Patridge, founder of Grant Book Investments; and Catherine Richmond, partner at Stebbins Bradley.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Mohamed and Jeff to the board of directors,” said board chair Deirdre Goodrich. “They both have a wealth of experience and interest in supporting our communities and the people within them in innovative and responsible ways.”

Basha, a graduate of Castleton State College, is the president of the nonprofit Cathedral Square Corporation and a member of the Governor’s Commission on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders. He was elected a corporator of Mascoma Mutual Financial Services Corporation (Mascoma Bank’s holding company) in 2022.

Chu holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a master's in biomechanics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He is active with the MedTech Collaborative and the Upper Valley Business Alliance and was elected a corporator of Mascoma Mutual in 2021.
