Howard Center is pleased to announce that on January 1, 2020, Howard Center’s Chief Medical Officer, Sandra Steingard, MD, will become the Editor-in-Chief of the Community Mental Health Journal published by Springer. The Community Mental Health Journal is the official journal of the American Association for Community Psychiatry (AACP). Dr. Steingard currently serves on the AACP board.

NBT Bank announced the promotion of Ronald (Wayne) Hickey to Business Banking Officer. Hickey is based at NBT’s Vermont Regional Office located at 150 Bank Street, Burlington, VT. Hickey has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry and joined NBT in 2015. Prior to his promotion, he was Branch Manager at NBT’s Rutland Office.

Next Stage Arts Project announced it has hired Keith Marks to be the next Executive Director following a nationwide search. He will assume leadership of the Putney, Vermont-based nonprofit presenting arts organization in January of 2020.

Eight nurses at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) received funds from the SVHC Foundation in support of their continuing education efforts. The funds were provided to the Foundation by the Helen Dixon Kunzelmann Nurse Scholar Program, the Margaret M. Rehm Nurse Scholar Program, and donations for nursing education.
