Encore Renewable Energy has further strengthened its team with the addition of Lisa Hughes as the Company’s Financial Controller. Lisa joins Encore with a broad range of finance and accounting experience, having worked as Controller for a number of New England based firms as well as in public accounting.

It started when a client commented that she managed to wear “actual, physical pants” last week—not leggings or sweats—and jokingly asked that her name be spelled correctly on whatever award she was given. To celebrate this achievement, Interrobang Design co-owner, Mark Sylvester, created a Wore Actual Physical Pants award certificate honoring Maegan Gorton’s achievement.

As of April 6th, Simon Renault has joined our team as the Scott Farm Orchard General Manager. Simon grew up in a family of apple cider makers in Brittany, France, and has been the manager of Sun Hill Farm in Putney, for the past 12 years. On Tuesday, April 7, two new members joined the Burlington School District (BSD) Board of School Commissioners. Aden Haji, Ward 8, and Polly Vanderputten, Ward 3, were sworn in last week, along with six returning board members. The meeting and swearing-in happened live via a Zoom Videoconference, a first for the District.

Kassandra Kohler, CIA, MBA is a Certified Internal Auditor with 12 years’ experience in various financial services roles, has been named controller at Yankee Farm Credit. Ms. Kohler assumed her new role April 1 and is working out of the Association’s Williston offices.

Christina Cross has joined Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs as an Associate Accountant. Christina graduated from Southern New Hampshire University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
