It started when a client commented that she managed to wear “actual, physical pants” last week—not leggings or sweats—and jokingly asked that her name be spelled correctly on whatever award she was given. To celebrate this achievement, Interrobang Design co-owner, Mark Sylvester, created a Wore Actual Physical Pants award certificate honoring Maegan Gorton’s achievement. Building on that, Interrobang has created a set of Daily Achievement Badges to celebrate our wins-of-the-day at a time when little feels normal or joyful.
“I had a big day yesterday and because I’m the luckiest gal on the planet, our graphic designer decided I was deserving of an award...a big cheers to Interrobang Design Collaborative, Inc. and Mark Sylvester for being such a constant source of joy in my life.” So reads the Facebook post that Maegan Gorton, Territory Sales Manager at Switchback Brewing Co., shared with her friends.
The badges are available at www.interrobangdesign.com/shop as free downloads and include topics like Used Deodorant, Ate My Fresh/Frozen Veggies, Wore Lace-Up Shoes, Made Art, Achieved Maximum Couch, and more.
“There is constant heavy news. We are adapting on-the-fly to new ways of learning, working, eating, shopping, staying connected to friends and family. The cumulative stress wears on you. So yes, it’s a big deal when we remember what day it actually is, do a creative project, balance work and homeschooling, virtually party or conduct business,” says Lisa Sylvester.
Interrobang invites people to celebrate these COVID-era wins on social media with the full-color Daily Achievement Badges. Award them to yourself or family, roommates, coworkers—whoever you’re lucky enough to share space (or cyberspace) with during the Coronavirus Stay-At-Home order.
Daily Achievement Coloring Pages are available as a project to do with kids or to use to unwind and relax when there’s been too much news or too many virtual meetings. The Coloring Pages can be customized with a name to be gifted to a recipient, creatively colored, or simply used as a welcomed distraction.
