Christian Camerota, former associate regional editor at Patch Media, has been named Assistant Director of Marketing for Social Media at Saint Michael's College. Mr. Camerota, a resident of Colchester, started his new position on Nov. 7. A 2004 graduate of Saint Michael’s College, Mr. Camerota started with Patch as a local editor in Wiltonin 2009.

Attorney Jeffrey M. Messina has joined the Labor and Employment Group and Attorney L. Raymond Sun has joined the Litigation and Regulated Entities Groups at the northern New England law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Both associates have prior experience at the firm and both will work from the firm’s Burlington Office.

Jaime Losch has completed a 40-Hour National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Airborne Asbestos Sampling and Analysis Course. Ms Losch is an Indoor Air Quality, Asbestos, and Lead Project Scientist with the Waterbury, VT office of Environmental Compliance Services, Inc. (ECS).

Entergy has promoted Vermont Yankee Plant Manager Chris Wamser to its VY site vice president position replacing Michael Colomb who has served in that position since October 2008. Colomb has been named site vice president for the James A. Fitzpatrick plant near Oswego, N.Y.

Saint Michael's College physics professor Dr. John O'Meara of Essex Junction, Vt. and two colleagues at the University of California, Santa Cruz published an astronomical break-through discovery in Science, the premier journal for all science on November 10, 2011.
