Maple Leaf Farm has hired Angelique Schultz as a clinical case manager. Angelique holds a BA and MA from Johnson State College and is currently enrolled in the Master of Science Program at Southern New Hampshire University. She was previously employed by Northwest Counseling and Support Services in St. Albans and most recently completed a 600 hour Counseling Internship at Maple Leaf Farm.

Three key executives at National Life Group responsible for overseeing the company’s network of agents were promoted to senior vice presidents.

CEO Mehran Assadi announced the promotions of Pam Blalock to senior vice president, career distribution; and Louis Puglisi and Matt DeSantos to senior vice president, independent distribution.

The Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) is delighted to welcome Meredith Scott as Program Director. Scott will oversee all of CLiF’s literacy programs and will focus on developing long-term, community-wide sponsorships in partnership with Vermont and New Hampshire towns, libraries, and elementary schools.

CVAA’s executive director John Barbour has announced his intention to retire this year from the agency. Barbour has been the Executive Director for 26 years and has been with the agency for nearly 34 years advocating for seniors, their families, and their caregivers.

The Fletcher Allen Partners’ Board of Trustees has announced changes to the structure of the Board, most significantly, a reduction in the number of board members from 27 to 19 to improve operational effectiveness. Fifteen Board members have been elected from the Boards of the four affiliated hospitals.

Leslie R. DeMars, MD, has been named interim Chair of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, replacing Richard H. Reindollar, MD, who had served as chair since 2005.

William C. “Bill” Mount from the Vermont General Office of New York Life, is now authorized to offer AARP branded life insurance and lifetime income annuity products to AARP members. It is the first time these group life insurance products are offered by authorized-to-offer Agents.

Two former Lyndon State College professors, Jon Fitch and Richard Portner, have been granted Professor of Humanities Emeritus status. The awards were confirmed through a special vote by the Vermont State College (VSC) Board of Trustees. LSC President Joe Bertolino nominated both candidates for the honor.

Bill Young, Executive Director of Maple Leaf Farm is pleased to announce the promotion of Melissa Lambert to Admissions Coordinator. Melissa joined the staff in November, 2012 as a per diem Treatment Counselor and became a full-time Admissions Counselor in March, 2013.

Ross Sneyd has been named vice president of National Life Group’s Charitable Foundation.
