Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports, a leading nonprofit in the adaptive sports industry, has selected John Collins of St. George to receive the 2023 Kellen Sams Memorial Leadership Award.

“John has been a tireless and enthusiastic volunteer for many years,” said Executive Director Erin Fernandez. “John makes himself available in all sorts of manners, from training new volunteers to jumping in on most any lesson, regardless of the difficulty or challenge.”

Katharine Litka, former associate at the New York City law firm Seyfarth Shaw, has joined Gravel & Shea in Burlington as litigation associate. Her practice will include state and federal courts, focusing on complex civil litigation, general business litigation, and personal injury and product liability.

“Katharine brings significant experience to our litigation team that will benefit our clients tremendously,” said shareholder Brooks McArthur. “We look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to this firm.”
