Bob Davis named SVP of commercial banking at Brattleboro Savings

Brattleboro Savings & Loan has promoted Bob Davis from vice president to senior vice president of commercial banking. In his new role, he will lead the commercial banking department while also being a vital part of executive management within the bank.

Davis holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. He also graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and completed the Wharton Executive Education Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Insurance association honors members Forward, Oakes

The Vermont Association of Insurance Professionals, an association of insurance professionals dedicated to the development of leaders in the insurance industry, honored members Evan Forward and Stephanie Jo Oakes at the organization's annual meeting May 21 at Fairways & Greens in Barre.

Forward, director of business development at New England Excess Exchange, was presented with the VTAIP Membership Award in recognition his many contributions to the association.

O’Hara joins Vermont Commission on Women in communications role

Emily O’Hara, former director of domestic violence response systems at the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, has joined the Vermont Commission on Women as communications and outreach coordinator.

In her new role, O'Hara will manage the organization's communications, strategic public relations and marketing functions; develop and implement public education initiatives, materials and campaigns; and represent the commission in public settings and coalitions.
