Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain, soon to be Hotel Champlain, has appointed Kevin Sprouse as executive chef and Marina Cook as general manager at the Original Skiff Fish + Oyster restaurant, which will operate inside the hotel beginning this summer. Both formerly worked together at Philo Ridge Farm in Charlotte.
Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor has honored acute care nurse Ruth Doiron as May Employee of the Month. The award recognizes employees who consistently exceed expectations, with reliability and daily dedication to their work.
Doiron specializes in providing immediate and intensive care to patients with severe, urgent or life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced environment. She develops initial medical care plans, monitors patients closely and identifies problems as they arise.
