Lyndon State College Professor's Essay Included in New Book
Professor David Johnston, who has taught philosophy and film studies at Lyndon State College since 2005, has work included in a new book, "The Philosophy of Horror," edited by Thomas Fahy (University Press of Kentucky, 2010). His essay is titled "Kitsch and Camp and Things that Go Bump in the Night; or Sontag and Adorno at the (Horror) Movies."
Bartlett for Governor Hires Field Director
Susan Bartlett is happy to announce that Hadley Birkett has joined the campaign as Field Director. Her most recent experience was serving as Field Director for Harry Teague's successful run for Congress in New Mexico. It was the first time that district was won by a democrat since 1980.

The Public Library Association (PLA) has awarded Leadership Fellows scholarships for programs at the Evans School of Public Affairs, University of Washington and the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

Cathleen Doty to Join Manchester Office of Merchants Trust Company
Molly Dillon, President of Merchants Trust Company, announced that Cathleen Doty has joined the trust and investment division of Merchants Bank. Cathleen will serve as Senior Relationship Manager with the team in Manchester and will maintain an office in the Rutland market.
