Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs, a full service public accounting firm, has announced the promotion of Matthew Cleare to Senior Accountant. Matthew works with a variety of clients providing tax, audit, and consulting services.

Cleare joined the company as Staff Accountant. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Champlain College and is currently sitting for the final section of the CPA exam. He is also the President of the Board of Directors for the Turning Point Center in Burlington.

Copley Hospital welcomes Valerie Koczara, RN, as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). “We are fortunate to have such a highly qualified and experienced person join our staff,” said Copley Hospital President Mel Patashnick. “Valerie met with administration, nurse and clinical leaders in addition to nursing and clinical staff during our interview process and all were enthusiastic about her joining our team.”

UVM ROTC Cadet Christian Ruf, a senior majoring in natural resource management, posted the fastest time among all Cadets nationwide in the 2-mile run during the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT). Fellow Cadet Bradley Patnaude posted the top overall score among 500 cadets based on his performance in the 2-mile run and number of push-ups and sit-ups.
