ORCA Media staff restructuring plays to its strengths

Onion River Community Access Media (ORCA), Central Vermont’s largest Community Cable Television and Media center providing local, national and international news, entertainment and in depth political coverage, has recently undergone a restructuring of staff to better serve the individual interests and highlight the strength of their employees to better serve the 13, 300+ households in their thirteen town “catchment”area.

C2 welcomes addition of three new employees

C2, also known as Competitive Computing, a technology consulting firm located in Colchester announced the addition of three new employees:

Katharine Bodan, Business Analyst, will lead process improvement and change management initiatives for the company. Most recently she worked for EMD Chemicals (affiliate of Merck KGaA). She is PMP certified and has an MBA from Temple University.

Kaitlin Francis, Project Analyst, will conduct project analysis initiatives and facilitate the deployment of new business processes. She has a BS from UVM.

Secretary of State Jim Condos appointed to National Task Force to Protect Businesses from Identity Theft

Secretary of State Jim Condos has accepted an appointment to a national task force on Business Identity Theft. The National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) has announced the formation of a NASS Business Identity Theft Task Force to help states combat the growing threat of business identity theft. The task force is a major association initiative that will target business identity theft prevention strategies and develop practical, cost-effective tools and guidance for states.

Mount Family Group Named Franchise Business of the Year

Select Staffing has named the Mount Family Group Ltd. of Burlington its Franchise Business of the Year for 2010. The company operates Westaff franchises in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island and Remedy Intelligent Staffing franchises in Massachusetts and has revenues of approximately $26 million.
