CVMC Auxiliary names Roxanne Jarvis Auxilian of the Year

Barre resident Roxanne Jarvis was named Auxilian of the Year at the annual meeting of the Central Vermont Medical Center Auxiliary.

According to Julia Page, CVMC Volunteer Service Manager, Barre resident Roxanne started out as a customer of The Bene-Fit Shop and saw a need for someone who was willing to help out. Roxanne started to do various tasks when she was at the shop such as straightening up the racks, and before too long it was suggested that she should join as a volunteer.

Merchants Trust Company welcomes Senior Relationship Manager in Manchester

Molly Dillon, Senior Trust and Community Banking Officer at Merchants Bank, announced that David W. LaForest has joined the Merchants Trust Company as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Manchester office.

LaForest comes to Merchants following a 20-year career at Chittenden Bank, now People’s United Bank, working primarily in the Trust Department.

VT SHRM State Council selects the 2011 VT State HR Professional of the Year

The VT SHRM State Council has selected Donna Austin-Hawley as the 2011 VT State HR Professional of the Year. Mrs. Austin-Hawley has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her career in Human Resources. She has been a key business partner at her current employer, Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, and has been a mentor for many HR professionals in the area. She has also been instrumental in establishing the Vermont Human Resources Association as a significant educational organization for HR professionals within Chittenden County.
