National Organizations tap skills of Vermont State Treasurer Pearce

Two national fiscal organizations have appointed Vermont State Treasurer Beth Pearce to key administrative positions.

The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA) has appointed Pearce to serve as Senior Vice President. The mission of NAUPA is to promote and support excellence and professionalism among those individuals charged with the responsibilities of unclaimed property administration and compliance.

Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, P.C. is pleased to announce that W. Scott Fewell was elected as the newest Director and Shareholder of the firm. W. Scott Fewell joined the firm in 2010. Mr. Fewell’s practice focuses on complex commercial and business litigation and insurance defense and coverage matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fewell was a partner with Burak, Anderson & Melloni, PLC, in its litigation practice group. Mr. Fewell served as law clerk for the Hon. Terrence F. McVerry, United States District Judge for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Vermont Technical College appoints Geoffrey Lindemer as Dean of Administration

Vermont Technical College President Philip A. Conroy announces the appointment of Geoffrey Lindemer as the new dean of administration. In this role, Lindemer, who is a CPA, will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising Vermont Tech’s fiscal and business affairs as well as the college’s the physical plant.

Borick advances to director at DRM

Attorney Matthew S Borick, of Burlington, was elected to membership as a director at the northern New England law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC at the firm’s annual meeting. Borick, a litigation lawyer, focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property, commercial disputes, computer crimes and cyberlaw, as well as defense of personal injury and other tort actions and insurance coverage. He graduated first-in-class from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2003 and joined DRM the same year.
