Southern Vermont College admissions senior assistant director presents at regional higher education conference

Daniel Summers II, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Southern Vermont College (SVC) in Bennington, Vt., and a resident of North Adams, Mass., recently spoke at the New England Association for College Admission Counseling Annual Meeting and Conference. Summers’ presentation was titled “Small by Design: Recruitment Strategies for Colleges with Less than 1,000 Students,” which was co-presented with Jessica Nelson, Assistant Director of Admissions at Marlboro College. The Conference took place at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

Seven Days promotes Andy Bromage to news editor

Seven Days, Vermont’s free independent weekly newspaper, has promoted political editor Andy Bromage to the position of news editor. The award-winning reporter, editor and columnist has been part of the Seven Days editorial team for three years. He came to Vermont from Connecticut, where he was editor of the New Haven Advocate and wrote a political column that also ran in its sister papers. Prior to that, Bromage was the lead reporter covering city hall for the daily New Haven Register.
