Meat industry professionals honored at first ever New England “meat ball”

Nearly 200 farmers, processors, butchers, chefs, retailers and other meat enthusiasts gathered at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH on March 22 for the inaugural “Meat Ball” at the New England Meat Conference. During a special presentation, three awards recognized a producer, a processor, and a food professional for excellence in their respective fields. The awardees were as follows:

UVM appoints four new James Marsh-Professors-At-Large

The University of Vermont has appointed four new James Marsh Professors-at-Large: Timothy Breen, the William Smith Mason Professor of American History at Northwestern University; Sture Hansson, professor in the Department of Ecology, Environment, and Plant Sciences at Stockholm University; Stephen Polasky, the Fesler-Lampert Professor of Applied Economics and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior at the University of Minnesota; and David Richardson, deputy director of the Centre of Excellence for Invasion Biology at Stellenbosch University.

Logic Supply welcomes local high school robotics group, supports STEM Ed. in VT

Logic Supply, a leading provider of specialized systems for industrial and embedded application, welcomed the robotics team from Essex High School and the Center for Technology Essex (picture below) to its South Burlington headquarters on Wednesday, March 3. Roughly 30 Logic Supply employees crowded around as the team demonstrated their custom-engineered robot.

Fyfe joins the Vermont Heating & Ventilating team
