HowardCenter announces new financial director
Sandy McGuire was recently selected as HowardCenter’s new Director of Finance and Administration. She succeeds Charles Stringer who will retire in June. McGuire came to HowardCenter in 1999 and is currently the Financial Manager for HowardCenter’s Child, Youth, and Family Services. Prior to coming to HowardCenter, she worked in the private business sector.
McGuire, a South Burlington resident, holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech University and will complete her MBA from Champlain College this fall.

Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) has welcomed Roxanne Vought as internship and special projects manager. Vought will manage VBSR’s intern program, which links students approaching graduation from Vermont colleges and universities to exciting job opportunities with Vermont businesses. With a grant from the Vermont Department of Labor, VBSR creates paid internships that benefit both the students and the companies.
