Saint Michael’s College Professors, Joanna Ellis-Monaghan (mathematics) of Grand Isle and Greta Pangborn (computer science) of Winooski, are part of the team of 10 experts working on a project to develop self-replicating nanoscale origami. The project team learned August 1, 2013, that it has been awarded $2 million from the National Science Foundation to pursue their work.

Zimmerman is involved in litigation, claims, compliance and contracting matters and reports to Gregory D. Woodworth, senior vice president and general counsel.
Zimmerman came to National Life Group from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, a law firm in Boston. Prior to joining Wilmer Hale, Zimmerman was a clerk for U.S. District Court Judge George Singal for the District of Maine.
