On August 6-8, 2013 MMIC participated in the National Veterans Small Business Conference held at America’s Center Convention Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri. VP of Sales & Marketing, Mark Munroe, and Regional Sales Manager, Paul Schweizer, had the opportunity to meet with many Veterans Affairs Procurement Decision Makers. MMIC has deployed mobile on-site surgical, endoscopic and sterile processing services to VA medical centers around the country. The GSA schedule provides a contracting vehicle to lease or purchase mobile units.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, New England Federal Credit Union (NEFCU) held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new branch at 1000 Shelburne Rd. in South Burlington. Groundbreaking took place on October 22nd, 2012. The 3,900 sq. ft. branch was designed by Freeman French Freeman architects. Stewart Construction served as general contractor for the project.

Gov. Peter Shumlin appointed Betty Rambur, a registered nurse and professor of Nursing and Health Policy at the University of Vermont, to serve on the five-member Green Mountain Care Board. She will fill out the term of board member Al Gobeille, who has become Chair of the Board.

In July the Information Technology Department at The Vermont Teddy Bear Company welcomed Daniel Lefebvre as the new Application Developer for the websites and supporting systems. This position will help design, develop and grow great ecommerce websites for the multiple brands of Vermont Teddy Bear. Daniel comes to VTB with 12 years of Web programming and marketing specialist experience. His previous position was with a national non-profit as a Director of Software Development.
