Members of the Vermont food industry will gather in Burlington and Essex Jct. September 26-28 for the annual Vermont food industry convention and exposition. The event will take place at the DoubleTree Burlington Hotel & Miller Centre South at the Champlain Valley Exposition.

Governor Peter Shumlin has reappointed Laine Dunham of Manchester to serve a second term on the Vermont Commission on Women.

The magazine, distributed free around the state and in metro areas throughout New England, covers outdoor pursuits and adventure, such as hiking, cycling, mountaineering, skiing and more. Lynn will begin publishing Vermont Sports with the November issue. The magazine’s current publisher and editor, Sky Barsch, of Barre Town, Vt., will continue to help edit the magazine for the next few issues in her free time. She is the associate publisher of the magazine Vermont Life.

This fall Lyndon State College welcomes four new full-time faculty members. The new faculty, along with new part-time faculty, are filling the shoes of retirees or adding strength to some growing academic departments.
