Artist Abby Manock unveils sculpture in City Hall Park

Burlington City Arts is pleased to announce newly installed sculpture by artist Abby Manock in Burlington’s City Hall Park. The Airborne Jellyfish Project is an ongoing project by the Burlington/Brooklyn based artist, and features 4 larger-than-life jellyfish sculptures hanging from the trees in City Hall Park. The sculptures will be installed from November through February 2014. These whimsical sculptures were installed with help from the Burlington City Arborists and Burlington Parks Department.

St Michael’s Wilderness Director Todd Wright achieves Level 5 certification as a British Canoe Union Sea Coach

Following a rigorous two-year process, Todd Wright, director of the Saint Michael's College Wilderness Program, became only the third North American to achieve Level 5 Sea Coach status, the top level in British Canoe Union coach training organization.

Wright returned Nov. 17, from Scotland where he achieved British Canoe Union Level 5, the highest international standard for coaching sea- or coastal-kayaking to students who range in ability from beginner to advanced open water and beyond. There are fewer than 50 Level 5 Sea Coaches throughout the world.
