Central Vermont Medical Center employees and volunteers donated 188 turkeys to the Vermont Food Bank. They also donated turkeys to 33 families that have been adopted for holiday giving by individual employees, departments, and physician practices, through the State of Vermont Agency of Human Services/Department of Children and Families. Lord, of Montpelier, came on staff beginning on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, where since May 2011 she worked in publications, marketing and education programs. Lord served most recently as the Chamber’s marketing and education coordinator.
Seven Days, Vermont’s free, independent weekly newspaper, won eight awards at the Vermont Press Association ceremony last Thursday in Montpelier.
The awards are an annual competition among the daily and nondaily newspapers in the state of Vermont.
