Vermont’s Harold Howrigan Jr. elected Vice Chairman of Dairy Management, Inc.

Vermont dairy farmer Harold Howrigan Jr. has been elected to serve a one-year term as Vice Chairman of Dairy Management Inc. ™ (DMI), which is based near Chicago. The election came last month during DMI’s national annual meeting held in Phoenix, Arizona. DMI is the company that carries out promotion programs nationwide funded by dairy farmers from across the country.

The AIF Designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. The Designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor, and agreement to abide by the Code of Ethics.

Keybank celebrates opening of new North Ave branch

KeyBank last night held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening celebration of its newest branch in Burlington at 1127 North Avenue.

The new 3,200-square-foot North Avenue branch offers a full range of banking services, state-of-the-art technology, ample parking, and multi-lane drive up and ATM lanes, replaces the bank’s former branch at 1123 North Avenue, Suite 32 in Burlington.

City Market donates proceeds from 16th Annual Tree Sale

For the past 16 years, City Market has held a COTS Tree Sale to benefit Burlington’s Committee on Temporary Shelter. This year, City Market once again sold fresh balsams from Moffatt’s Tree Farm in Craftsbury, Vermont. The Co-op sold 660 trees from Wednesday, December 4 through Thursday, December 12 and the net proceeds were all donated to COTS. City Market staff, Co-op Members and community volunteers assisted customers with trees throughout the sale.
