BMH recognizes Wanda Smith as Employee of the Year
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Wanda Smith has been recognized as the 2014 BMH Employee of the Year.
An employee at BMH since 1980, Smith was chosen to receive this honor due to her long-time dedication, attentiveness to safety and cleanliness, respect for patient privacy, positive attitude and sense of humor, and pride in a job well done.
Smith works in the Environmental Services Department. She was previously recognized as the BMH Employee of the Month in November 2009.
Fletcher Allen Partners names chief financial officer
Fletcher Allen Partners announced today that it has named Todd Keating as chief financial officer, effective June 16. The appointment was made following a national search.
“We’re thrilled to have Todd on board. He has a proven track record of navigating the financial complexities of today’s health care environment,” said John Brumsted, MD. “I am confident that the combined expertise of our finance team, led by Todd, will position us well as we transition from a fee-for-service payment structure to a population health management structure.”

Attorney Elizabeth K. Rattigan of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC was among the faculty for a five-day management training seminar sponsored by the Center for Professional and Executive Development at Champlain College May 6-8 and 13 and 14 at the Norwich Inn in Norwich, Vt. The five-day program recognizes that professional workplace achievements which lead to management appointments may be different from skills that will help a manager to succeed.
