Norwich University names new director of corporate and foundation relations

Bridget Wiffin, of Barre, has been named the new director of corporate and foundation relations for Norwich University.

Wiffin graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2001 with a B.A. degree in English Writing Arts and has 13 years of professional writing and editing experience for various publications, including medical journals and outdoors sports magazines.

Five FedEx drivers earn honors at the Vermont truck driving championship

Five drivers representing FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX) operating companies placed among the top finishers at the 2014 Vermont State Truck Driving Championship in Pembroke, N.H., on June 7.

· Chris Goddard, a driver for FedEx Express based in Williston, captured his sixth state title with a win in the 3-Axle class. He also took home his second-consecutive Grand Champion title for achieving the highest score among the winners of all classes.

Experienced higher education veteran Becky Watson to lead marketing/communications at Saint Michael’s

Becky Watson is the new director of marketing and communications for Saint Michael’s College. A Washington State native and longtime Las Vegas, NV, resident with over 20 years of experience in higher education marketing, Watson began work June 2.

Mercy Connections’ women’s small business program celebrates 25 years

Mercy Connections’ Women’s Small Business Program celebrated its 25th year at Main Street Landing on Thursday night. The Women’s Small Business Program (WSBP) started in 1989 as a collaborative effort between Trinity College and the City of Burlington’s Community Economic Development Office (CEDO) under the leadership of Sister Janice Ryan, President of Trinity College and Dr. Peggy Williams, Chair of the Business Department, then Mayor of Burlington Peter Clavelle, and CEDO staff Martha Whitney and Bruce Seifer.
