Carolyn Weaver, a Real Estate Sales Professional from

Williston, has joined KW Vermont.

Carolyn has over 18 years experience as a Vermont real estate agent and has marketed and sold hundreds of

homes in Chittenden County. She specializes in neighborhoods, condominiums, lakefront, historic homes and

new construction. Carolyn is also a member of the NVBR Board of Directors and oversees the financial

committee.

Riverside Natural Health Center opens in Middlebury

The Addison County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the grand opening of its newest member, Riverside Natural Health Center (RNHC), located at 5 Park Street in the Star Mill Building in Middlebury. RNHC was founded by four licensed health professionals—Nieve Shere (acupuncture), Dr. Matthew Perchemlides (naturopath), Chenoa Hamilton (midwifery), and Stephanie Powers (massage)—who offer primary and specialized care for both families and individuals.

This annual award is presented at the Governor’s Conference on Recreation to a professional in the recreation field who is a full-time leader, supervisor, administrator, manager, educator, planner, researcher, designer, or consultant who has made outstanding contributions to the recreation and/or park field. The candidate must have at least ten years' professional experience, three years serving in Vermont; and have made a contribution to the field over a period of time and not just a single occurrence.

Vermont Public Radio celebrates Walter Parker's 30th anniversary

Vermont Public Radio will celebrate Walter Parker's 30th anniversary of sharing classical music with Vermonters on October 1st, with a special live concert broadcast from the Elley-Long Music Center at Saint Michael’s College.

Several friends from Vermont’s classical music community will perform at the concert, including pianist Sally Pinkas, flutist Karen Kevra, pianist Paul Orgel, harpist Rebecca Kauffman, the Heliand Consort, and Counterpoint.

Family nurse practitioner joins Gifford Health Center at Berlin

Family nurse practitioner Jeff Lourie has brought his passion for primary care to the Gifford Health Center at Berlin.

A Cape Elizabeth, Maine, native, Lourie attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., earning his bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry. He went on to work in a research lab studying organic chemical synthesis before discovering that what he really wanted to do was help people – hands on.
