The Vermont Lake Monsters have announced that Joe Doud has been promoted to General Manager, becoming the sixth GM in the New York-Penn League team's 22-year history. Doud, who has served as the team’s Assistant General Manager for the past four seasons, will focus on the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Nate Cloutier, who has been the team’s General Manager for the past five seasons and been an integral part of the organization since 2002 will now shift his focus on the continued growth of the business and the brand, as the Executive Director of Sales and Marketing.

Vermont Gas has announced Beth Parent has joined the team as Corporate Communications Manager.

Parent joins current Director of Communications Steve Wark in guiding the company’s public relations, communications, and serving as a spokesperson.

Parent has over 14 years of journalism, communications and public relations experience and is a familiar face in the community. She spent nearly 10 years as an anchor, reporter and producer at WCAX-TV.

Wayne LaBonte, Director of Sales at Twincraft Skincare, is pleased to welcome Bob Elmergreen as the company’s newest Director of Business Development. Hailing from the Midwest, Bob worked as a sales representative for over 10 years. Shortly after re-locating to New England with Vans Footwear, he accepted a newly created role at Burton Snowboards as the Resort Channel Sales Manager, a position he held for 2-1/2 years before making the move to Twincraft. “I see an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally,” Bob said of the change.

Molly Dillon, President of Merchants Trust Company has announced two employee appointments.

Diane Kline joined Merchants Trust Company as Personal Investment Officer. Kline brings a very strong investment and client services background. She will be based at Merchants Bank’s South Hero branch, serving Northwestern Vermont and the Burlington metro area.

Josh Jarvis was promoted to Financial Advisor I – Trust. Jarvis joined Merchants Bank in 2011 bringing breadth of knowledge in finance and has worked for over a year with Trust Personal Investment Accounts.

Freeman French Freeman, a full-service architecture, planning, and interior design firm based in Burlington, Vermont, welcomes Jane Pickell, LEED AP ID+C, as interior designer. Jane brings a decade of design experience working for firms in New York, Wisconsin, and Vermont. She holds degrees from Barnard College in New York and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. At Freemen French Freeman she joins an 18-person team working on a diverse portfolio in the higher education, health care, and commercial markets.

The non-profit, FOCUS ON FILM, announces its hire of a new executive director for the Green Mountain Film Festival. The non-profit hired Rachelle Murphy, a Berlin resident and recent masters of art graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design. Murphy coordinated the 2014 festival in Montpelier.

Murphy comes with television and film production credentials, two film degrees, ties to Los Angeles and New York City, and close relationships with prestigious filmmakers and other film festivals around the country.

Rebecca Joyce, MD has joined the physician staff at Evergreen Family Health in Williston. Dr. Joyce is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and has special interests in women’s health and pediatric care. She is an advocate for healthy lifestyles for prevention of chronic disease, and interested in care for all ages. She is a native Vermonter who attended Middlebury College and then worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Washington, DC. Marie Thresher, Chief Risk Officer for Merchants Bank, announces Jonathan Watson has been hired for the position of Audit Director. Watson has over ten years of banking experience, including operations, retail and trust. He is a University of Vermont graduate and has earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) designations. Jonathan resides in Burlington, VT.

The Essex, Vermont’s Culinary Resort and Spa, has announced the appointment of Nazba Jenulevich as general manager. In this new capacity, Jenulevich is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and vision, as well as overseeing operational and asset management. He joined The Essex in June 2013 as the director of resort operations.
