Vermont Symphony Orchestra honors Robert De Cormier as Conductor Emeritus

Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO), Vermont’s only statewide symphony orchestra, announced this week during a choral concert in Burlington, Vermont that Robert De Cormier has been honored as Conductor Emeritus, Vermont Symphony Orchestra Chorus. De Cormier held the position of choral conductor for twenty years having retired in 2014.

Castleton’s marks 228th commencement ceremony with former chancellor

Castleton welcomes former chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges Tim Donovan to give the address at the college’s 2015 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. in the Castleton Pavilion.

Donovan recently retired from a career in higher education that spanned four decades, culminating in five years as the Chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges. His entire career was in service to Vermont’s five public comprehensive, technical and community colleges.

KSV adds two to growing team

Joining KSV as an agency administrator is Jacquelyn “Jacque” Diaz. She came to KSV from the greater Denver area to be a part of the mission-driven organization with a focus on sustainability, and Jacque brings with her nearly a decade of administrative experience as well as a solid background in marketing and communications.

Ledyard promotes Greg Steverson

Vermont organizations and residents recognized by EPA for environmental achievements

Four winners in Vermont were recognized at EPA’s 2015 Environmental Merit Awards ceremony. The environmental leaders were among 27 recipients across New England honored for helping to improve New England’s environment.

Each year EPA New England recognizes individuals and groups in the six New England states who have worked to protect or improve the region’s environment in distinct ways. The merit awards, given out since 1970, honor individuals and groups who have shown particular ingenuity and commitment in their efforts.
