Two Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman agents receive special honors

Two Realtors from Coldwell Banker Hickok & Boardman received special recognition recently at the Northwestern Vermont Board of REALTORS, 2015 REALTORS of Distinction Awards Ceremony. Brian Boardman was the recipient of the “Good Neighbor” award for his extraordinary commitment to community volunteer work that has helped to make the community a better place to live. Bobbe Maynes was named a 2015 “Rookie All Star,” part of a five-member team of REALTORS who have demonstrated strong success and promise within the first two years of their real estate careers.

2015 Exceptional Retiree Award winners announced

Equinox Village has announced the winners of the 2015 Exceptional Retiree Awards. This year’s recipients include Phebe Bell of Castleton for Excellence in Service & Community Leadership; Janice Pratt of Pownal for Excellence in Health & Wellness; Irene Nadler of Bondville for Excellence in Continued Scholarship; and Patricia Musick Carr and Gerald P. Carr of Manchester Center for Excellence in the Arts. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on Friday, May 29 at Equinox Village.

Tiffany Bluemle and Scudder Parker join Public Assets Board

Larry Mandell, chair of the board of Public Assets Institute, announced that Tiffany Bluemle of Burlington and Scudder Parker of Middlesex have been elected to the board.

A non-partisan nonprofit with offices in Montpelier, Public Assets Institute is Vermont's premier independent research organization on state budget, tax, and economic issues and the source for timely and in-depth state fiscal and policy analysis.

Sterling College announces new faculty member in sustainable food systems

Sterling College has announced the appointment of Nicole Civita as a faculty member in Sustainable Food Systems and the Assistant Director of the Rian Fried Center for Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems.

“Nicole’s background in food justice and agricultural law will help further strengthen Sterling College’s pioneering work in studying sustainable food systems,” said the College’s Dean of Academics Carol Dickson. “Her expertise will help us build upon our strengths in preparing students to build a healthier food system.”

Stephanie Solla, EI, joins DuBois & King

DuBois & King consulting engineers announce that Stephanie Solla, EI, has joined the firm as a Transportation Design Engineer. Ms. Solla’s experience includes design of roadway and intersection improvement projects for municipalities and transportation agencies in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Stephanie lives in Riverton and works out of the firm’s South Burlington Office.
