Norwich U names Lisa Yaeger new HR director

Norwich University has named Lisa Yaeger as its new director of human resources. She began her tenure in July.

Yaeger comes to Norwich after nine years at the Community College of Vermont, where she served as director of Human Resources and later as associate dean for Human and Administrative Resources.

Yaeger brings over 18 years of leadership experience in higher education. She previously served at the University of Maine School of Law and at University College at the University of Denver.

SVMC ExpressCare announces James Mithoefer’s appointment

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center has announced the appointment of James Mithoefer, PA, as a physician assistant in the hospital’s ExpressCare department.

“ExpressCare is here for simple things like colds and sore throat and for things that are a little more serious, like abdominal pain, cuts, and sprains,” Mithoefer said. “I am happy to be working with the team at ExpressCare and to be delivering this care to people in Bennington.”

SunCommon names Chach Curtis CFO

SunCommon has announced Chach Curtis as CFO. Chach grew up in New England and received his BA and MBA from Dartmouth College, with six years of investment banking in between. He has spent the last 22 years as an entrepreneur managing high-growth companies in Vermont, and has 15 years experience in renewable energy, most recently as CFO of Northern Power Systems and CEO of Draker, Inc.

Okemo recognizes peak performers

Among its employee recognition programs, Okemo Mountain Resort’s Peak Performers program acknowledges employees for giving exceptional service to resort guests and fellow employees. Managers nominate employees based on factors such as job performance, safety awareness, dependability and enthusiasm. AllEarth Renewables hires Tim Hoopes to engineering team

AllEarth Renewables, the Vermont solar tracker manufacturer, has announced the hiring of Tim Hoopes as mechanical engineer.

Hoopes, of Hinesburg, has worked in technical positions at various Vermont companies, including Hubbardton Forge, NRG Systems, and HEB Manufacturing. He has a Bachelor's of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Hoopes also has his FAA A&P Certification from Cheyenne Aero-Tech.

Governor Peter Shumlin has appointed Joslyn L. Wilschek of PRIMMER an alternate member of the State of Vermont Environmental Commission for District 5.
