Barlow, Kasz and McGehee headed to VAB Hall of Fame

Three individuals will be enshrined in the Vermont Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame later this year. The VAB has announced that the trio of honorees will include VOX AM/FM owner and General Manager Ken Barlow, Local 22 WVNY/Local 44 WFFF Operations Director Ken Kasz and longtime WJOY morning host Ginny McGehee.

In addition, the VAB has announced the 2015 Broadcaster of the Year award will be presented to the WPTZ-TV/WNNE-TV news team for its outstanding coverage of the Dannemora prison escape.

State and National awards presented to AGC/VT staffer

A staff-member of the Associated General Contractors of Vermont has been recognized by the National Safety Council and the VT Governor’s for Outstanding Workplace Safety.

Norman James, Manager of Project RoadSafe, a workplace driver safety training program at AGC/VT, was honored with the Vermont Governor’s Award for Outstanding Workplace Safety, and the National Safety Council’s Alive at 25 Instructor of the Year award.

AN DERINGER, Inc appoints Pamela Baker as marketing manager

A.N. Deringer, Inc. has announced that Pamela Baker has joined the Deringer team as Marketing Manager. Pam brings with her a long career in marketing and a passion for leadership. Prior to joining Deringer, she served in a marketing role for a national third party benefits administrator, where she was responsible for the development of marketing campaigns and regional sales support. Pam previously co-owned a marketing consulting firm, which provided large scale proposal management, technical writing, public relations, and strategic support to professional service firms.

CVHHH welcomes Brian Aitchison to board of directors

Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice (CVHHH) welcomed Brian Aitchison to its Board of Directors at the September board meeting. Brian is a lifelong Vermonter who grew up in Montpelier and attended the University of Vermont, where he earned a Bachelor of Science. Brian joined Denis, Ricker and Brown Insurance in 1987. He became a stockholder and officer of the firm in 1997 and is currently a Vice President of Denis, Ricker & Brown/ Hickok & Boardman, Inc. “I am thankful that CVHHH is a part of our community,” says Brian.
