Attorney Andre Bouffard named Fellow of American College of Mortgage Attorneys

Norwich cadets to march 50 miles for veterans’ fundraiser

Fifty Norwich University cadets will march 50 miles to raise funds for the Veterans’ Place, Inc., a Northfield transition home and support center for homeless veterans.

The three-day march will take cadets from the Norwich, Vt., site of the original Norwich University campus, to its current home of Northfield through scenic Vermont villages and over many ridges.

En route cadets will honor university founder Captain Alden Partridge, an early proponent of experiential learning, and discuss engineering, public policy, history and other topics with faculty leaders.

VPR’S Tymecki named 2015 winner of VAB’S Snyder-Teffner award

The Vermont Association of Broadcasters has announced that radio and television engineer Joe Tymecki will receive the Snyder-Teffner Award at the VAB’s December 5 Hall of Fame Banquet in Burlington.

The award, named in honor of longtime Hall Communications engineer and VAB Treasurer Dennis Snyder and the late WCAX-TV engineer and VAB President Ted Teffner, is designed to honor those who have demonstrated a career of excellence behind the scenes.

Physician Assistant Ellen Bando joins Gifford Health Care Pediatrics team

Ellen Bando PA-C has joined Gifford’s Pediatrics team, bringing 15-years of experience with pediatric and adolescent patients.

She most recently worked at the Winslow Indian Health Care Center in AZ, where she spent 5 years as part of a medical team providing outpatient care for Native American patients, and working a mobile medical van that brought preventive and screening services to remote communities on the Navajo Reservation.

Bando knew when she graduated from college that she wanted to help underserved rural communities, and first worked in hospital administration.

LCRCC hires new sales manager

The Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Vermont Convention Bureau has hired a new sales manager, Megan Hood. Megan joins the Vermont Convention Bureau from her previous role as the Sales Manager for Executive Meetings at Stowe Mountain Lodge. A graduate of the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, Megan has dual degrees in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Business Administration. Before moving to Vermont, she spent two years working and skiing in beautiful Lake Tahoe, California.

Housing Vermont welcomes new staff members Janet Spitler and Steven Antinozzi

Housing Vermont has welcomed two new staff members. Janet Spitler joins the staff of the statewide nonprofit housing and community development organization as chief financial officer. Janet has extensive experience in real estate investment and banking, most recently as executive vice president of Merchants Bank. As energy project manager, Steven Antinozzi ensures that Housing Vermont follows best practices in the design and management of its building HVAC systems.

Leadership changes at Neagley & Chase

Neagley & Chase Construction Company has announced a change in its top leadership. Andrew Martin has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, with Mark Neagley remaining as President of the company. Tom Chase has been named the company's Chairman.

Mark Neagley founded Neagley Construction Company 31 years ago, and in 1998 partnered with Tom Chase to form Neagley & Chase. Andrew Martin had been a senior executive at PC Construction Company, and joined the company in 2014.
