Brian Murphy joins Village School of North Bennington's board of trustees
The Village School of North Bennington has announced the addition of Brian Murphy to the school’s board of trustees. In addition to regular board duties, Murphy will serve on the board’s Finance Committee. A resident of Shaftsbury, Murphy serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration for Bennington College and as the College’s Treasurer. In addition to the business office, his responsibilities include human resources, information technology, and facilities planning and maintenance functions.
Malcolm Paine, MD, of SVMC OB/Gyn takes on statewide leadership role
Malcolm Paine, MD, has been elected to a three-year term as vice chair of the Vermont section of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). In this new role, Paine will attend advisory council meetings and serve as the legislative contact for the organization.
“I am excited about taking on this role. Being involved in ACOG gives me even better access to the best scientific evidence,” said Paine. “What I learn will inform the care we provide in our practice and help shape care for women in the local region, in our state and nationally.”
VBA board announces selection of Teri Corsones as new executive director
The VBA Board of Managers has announced that Therese (Teri) Corsones of Mendon, Vermont, will succeed Robert (Bob) Paolini as executive director of the association, effective May 1, 2016. Teri has been a VBA member since 1982, following her graduation from Cornell University Law School that year. Teri practiced law in Rutland for 25 years in a firm started by her father-inlaw, Ted Corsones, with her husband, Cort Corsones, brother-in-law, Chris Corsones, and a number of partners and associates over the years.
