Kathy graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting Specialization, from the College of Holy Cross with a Bachelor degree in Economics, and from the University of New Mexico with a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Archeology.

Lake Champlain Maritime Museum receives CVNHP Grant for Nautical Archaeology Archive

A 2016 Conservation and Community Grant from the Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership (CVNHP) heralds an important new initiative for Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, a project titled Collections & Recollections: Preserving Peter Barranco’s Legacy. Grant funds are helping LCMM initiate long-term preservation and research access to a nationally significant collection recently donated to LCMM.

Philip Tortora named communications director for Vermont Department of Tourism And Marketing

The Agency of Commerce and Community Development today announced that Philip Tortora has been named communications director for the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. In this role, he will be responsible for leading tourism media and trade relations. The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing's key objective is to increase awareness of the Vermont brand with the goal of increasing visitation to the state.
