The EDGE Sports and Fitness welcomes social media and PR specialist

The EDGE Sports and Fitness has announced that Annie McKay has accepted a position as the social media and PR specialist for the club.

Annie graduated from Colgate University in 2014 with a BA in Art and Art History. Since graduating she has spent time working in Yellowstone National Park and most recently as an assistant at a law firm. She also works part time as an Artist at Burlington Paint and Sip studio where she teaches painting classes and helps to contribute Facebook and Instagram content for the business’s social media pages.

Clifford Allard and Allard Lumber honored as outstanding sawmill operator

The Northeastern Loggers’ Association (NELA) recently honored Clifford Allard and Allard Lumber Company of Brattleboro, Vermont as the recipient of its 2015 Outstanding Sawmill Operator Award. NELA Board Secretary William Sayre presented the award at the Annual Loggers’ Banquet in South Burlington, Vermont in a ceremony attended by over 200 members of the Northeast’s forest products industry.

Southern Vermont College names Ashley Hodges assistant director of athletics as College awarded NCAA strategic alliance matching grant

Southern Vermont College Director of Athletics Michael McDonough announced the naming of Ashley Hodges as the new Assistant Director of Athletics for SVC, as the College was one of 26 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III members to be awarded with the Association’s diversity grants for the 2016-17 academic year.

Simonds holds a Bachelor’s from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he studied Electronic Media, Arts & Communications.

Kurn Hattin alumna Lyssa Jackson was recently awarded the 2016 Catherine Hershey Alumni of the Year Award by the Coalition of Residential Excellence (CORE). At the CORE Annual Residential Excellence Conference, Catherine Hershey Residential Education Awards were presented to honor outstanding staff, students and supporters whose steadfast contributions and dedication exemplified the essence of residential education.
