Southern Vermont College (SVC) has announced the appointment of Nina G. Moser as Vice President for College Advancement. In her new position, Moser will provide leadership in all of the College’s advancement efforts, including campaign planning, major and planned giving, annual giving, external and alumni relations, communications and marketing.
Merchants Bank announces two new appointments to the commercial banking team
Bruce Bernier, senior lender and senior VP for Merchants Bank recently announced the addition of John Keshavan to the position of VP, regional manager and loan resolution officer at Merchants Bank.
John Keshavan joined Merchants Bank with more than 25 years of extensive commercial lending experience and market knowledge. Keshavan began his career at Chittenden Bank and worked his way through credit and commercial lending. He holds a BA, with concentration in finance from The University of Vermont. Keshavan currently resides in Williston, VT.
Jason Doiron appointed senior VP, chief investment officer
Jason Doiron has been promoted to chief investment officer and senior vice president at National Life Group.
Doiron will be responsible for managing the general account portfolios of National Life’s insurance companies.
He joined Sentinel Investments eight years ago. “Since that time, Jason has done an outstanding job building the fixed income team and enhancing our capabilities in managing fixed income portfolios for all of our clients,” said Thomas Brownell, Sentinel’s president and CEO.
Y names Rick Blount VP of development
The Greater Burlington YMCA has announced that Rick Blount of Burlington has been selected to lead the Y’s fundraising and community relations activities as Vice President of Development. The appointment comes as the organization celebrates its 150th year of serving the community and moves forward on plans to build a new facility in Burlington.
